The Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (OSJVS) is a non-profit organization located in Vaudreuil-Soulanges in Quebec, Canada. to fostering the musical development of youth in our community. Founded to provide a high-level orchestral experience, we offer young musicians the opportunity to study and perform symphonic works in a professional and inspiring environment.

Our goal is to create a vibrant cultural space where youth can grow not only as musicians but as leaders. Through rigorous training and public performances, we strive to:
- Promote Musical Excellence: Teaching the technical and theoretical foundations required for high-level music performance.
- Build Community: Bringing together families, local partners, and audiences to celebrate the arts and enrich the cultural fabric of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.
- Foster Personal Growth: Developing discipline, teamwork, and resilience through the shared challenges and rewards of orchestral training.

A Legacy of Musical Education
Since its inception in 2021, the OSJVS has grown from a small group of local students to a include both Junior and Senior ensembles. Under the artistic leadership of Dr. Judy Hung, the orchestra has become a staple of the regional cultural scene, performing at prestigious local venues and collaborating with community organizations.
Whether you are a student looking to join or a community member looking to support, the OSJVS is your home for symphonic music in the West Island and Vaudreuil-Soulanges area.

At OSJVS, our passion goes beyond helping young musicians achieve musical excellence. We are also dedicated to helping them grow as future leaders. We believe that a great musical education extends far beyond the rehearsal room.
By giving our youth opportunities to volunteer and share their talents at local senior residences and community centers, we encourage them to use their musical gifts to uplift others. Through these experiences, our young musicians get to discover the deep joy of giving back to their community while seeing firsthand the power of their music.
OSJVS community performances do more than just bring live music to people who might not otherwise have access to it.
Through this meaningful community outreach, our youth develop real empathy, leadership skills, and a lifelong understanding of how music can truly bring people together.

We want to share the beauty of orchestral music with those who may not have the opportunity to attend traditional concert halls.
Through our community outreach program, the OSJVS brings live performances directly to local long-term care facilities (CHSLDs) and senior residences.
It is our way of ensuring that members of our community who are closer to home can still experience the joy and comfort of live music.
